One word, IMPRESSIVE.
The way this organization is actually working and making a difference is definitely inspiring.
The seed of Chiraagh was planted
in November 2016 by Waqas Haider – a sophomore at LUMS hailing from a small village – Basti Dhup Sari near Multan. Chiraagh gained the status of a not-for-profit organization in May 2023. Since its inception, Chiraagh has launched various projects to meet the specific needs of students by catering to the interpersonal, professional, and financial needs of the students
enrolled at public and low-cost educational institutes. Chiraagh Vocational Training School, Tarbiyah, and Pen Pal are some of the various projects that focus on empowering women in society.
The foundation of CVTS was laid down to
empower women of the area, making them self-sufficient and well informed about their rights.
Since its inception in 2020, 57 girls have graduated from CVTS, making it a total of 4 batches. More than 1400 plus products have been made by these students over the span of four years. The average income of these students is $20 per student per month, which is a considerable amount of money in an underprivileged setting.
Wishing them good luck and will be working together in future insha Allah
